Big View Children's Binoculars

Item No: 21-LER2818
Great value
Vision
Depth perception
Role play

These binoculars are wonderfully easy to use, making them a great first pair for young explorers. The soft rubber eyepieces help block out surrounding light, making it easier for children to focus on what they're observing. A fantastic introduction to nature watching and outdoor discovery.

  • 2–3x magnification
  • A bird 6 metres away will appear as if it's only 2–3 metres away. You'll get a closer view, but not an extreme close-up with every feather in sharp detail.
  • Lower magnification makes it easier to get a clear, steady view through the binoculars. The higher the magnification, the more important it becomes to hold the binoculars still and point them in exactly the right direction.
  • A fun way for children to discover how binoculars bring the world closer.
  • Easy-to-use focus knob
For added safety while exploring, the binoculars come with a breakaway neck strap that releases if your child gets caught on something while wearing them.

Size: 14 x 12.5 cm.

This activity develops important skills which support your child's well-being and ability to learn:

  • This type of play helps your child improve their depth perception skills. For instance, this will help your child cycle or walk in traffic more safely. "How fast is that car coming towards me?" suddenly becomes a little bit easier to assess.
  • In role play, your child imitates us adults and experiments with everyday situations or their own universe.

Do you know Learning Resources?

Providing children with materials that make learning fun is essential for Learning Resources - as their name suggests.

In particular, STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) is at the centre at Learning Resources. For instance, your child can learn about coding, doing experiments, exploring their world, and building robots. For teachers and educators, Learning Resources is a learning goldmine. Coding dinosaurs, math games, and sorting animals can really shake things up in the classroom.
