My First - Modelling Clay Set, Finish the Dinos

You get three colours of modelling clay (40 g of each) and four cards with cute dinosaurs who are ready for a colour splash. Use the colourful modelling clay to fill in the white spaces on the cards.

Squishing, pulling, patting, squeezing, and stretching with your hands magically sharpens your child’s concentration, even though it is really a type of distraction. For example, when you need to sit down and pay attention to a fairy tale, it’s wonderful to knead and fiddle with various kinds of playdough, clay, or sensory slime while listening.

With playdough, your bigger kid can make anything from four-headed cats to princesses and knights and bring their craziest ideas to life. For very young children, playdough is mostly about the sensory experience.

We carry playdough of several different types and colours and different firmness levels. Firm playdough stimulates your child’s proprioception by providing a bit more resistance. Among other things, firm playdough is perfect for making stop motion movies, because the shape holds better.

It’s a quiet activity that can help your child be still for just seven more minutes - or help them cope with long train or car rides without restlessly moving around in their seat. In particular, for children with a lot of motor restlessness, playing with something that engages their hands, proprioception, imagination, and fine motor skills while sitting still can help them stay calm.

Oil-based playdough stays soft for several years. You can soften water-based playdough by adding a bit of water to it.
