Time Timer TWIST is a clever new take on the classic Time Timer. As Time Timer becomes more popular among parents and educators, new needs arise—and the team behind Time Timer continues to meet them. 

Take the TWIST, for example. The design is a bit different, and it’s fully digital. The visual dial counts down from 90 to 0 minutes, depending on your setting—and the magnetic back lets you attach it to vertical surfaces. 

Another special feature of the TWIST is that you set it by turning the outer ring, rather than pressing a button in the centre. 

For example, turn the outer ring to set 25 minutes, press the start/stop button, and the Time Timer TWIST begins counting down. You can pause the countdown at any time. The time can only be adjusted when the countdown is paused.

Do you know Time Timer?

Being able to feel and make sense of time reduces stress and increases safety. With the Time Timer, time becomes visual, and you actually don't need to be able to tell time in order to grasp how much time is left.

For instance, if your child has fifteen minutes to wolf down some cereal in the morning, you just set the Time Timer to 15 minutes. Then, the clock silently counts down, while the coloured disc gets smaller and smaller.

There are several Time Timer models to choose from. For example, Time Timers come with different minute counts, in various sizes, and even as wristwatches. The Time Timer is also great for adults and children with special needs. The larger models are suitable for bigger settings or for visually impaired users. The clock counts down, but it goes clockwise and the numbers also go downwards instead of up.

It's really logical. For example, if you need to set the Time Timer to 25 minutes, so your child understands there are 25 minutes left of the evening before lunchboxes need to be packed and toes need to be scrubbed before bedtime, this is how it's done on the standard Time Timer:

Adjust the red disc so it covers 25 minutes. Now the dial is white from "12 o’clock" to where it normally would say "35 minutes" on a dial – because from "35" to "12 o’clock" is 25 minutes.

The clever thing about the Time Timer is that the numbers are reversed. On the Time Timer, it doesn't say "35" when you set the timer to 25 minutes. It logically shows "25". And the red disc counts down from "25" instead of counting up from "35".

This means you need to set your Time Timer to "25" when you want to count down from 25 minutes. After 5 minutes, the red disc will show "20" minutes, so it's clear to see that there are only 20 minutes left before bedtime.
