Already as toddlers, children start experimenting withstacking blocks or similar objects on top of each other. This helps them learn about balance, gravity, proportions, and physics. At first, the best part is pushing over the blocks. But later on, your child's motor skills improve, and they start to build block towers or experiment with stacking figures or other things.
