The River Path consists of beautiful balance beams that can be assembled in various shapes, for example a path, a semicircle, or a snake.
Your child can then practise walking on the beams and following the path without losing their balance. Or place the beams with gaps in between, so kids have to jump from one to the next. You can create different levels of difficulty, depending on how brave your child is feeling today.
You can also add other elements to the balance path to make it even more fun. For example, you can combine the River Path with our other balance toys or build small islands and obstacles from pillows, cushions, etc.
One set includes 6 balance beams made of durable hard plastic with a non-slip base to keep them in place. Suitable for children of all ages from 2 years and up.
It's easy to combine multiple sets.
Especially well-suited for childcare settings, children with special needs, and seniors.
Important: To build a full circle, you’ll need 2 sets - one set makes a half circle.
The activity helps your child develop skills and is wonderful for your child's well-being:
- Develops and improves concentration.
- This is a way for your child to engage their vestibular sense, which helps us to spin in circles, stand on one leg, or ride in a car without getting dizzy, losing our balance, or getting car sick.
- Stimulates your child's proprioception, which benefits your child's concentration and gives them the confidence to use their body in other types of physical play.
Suitable for children aged 2 yrs. to 8 yrs.
“Sit still and stop rocking the chair” doesn’t apply with motor skills furniture (thankfully). In fact, being able to rock and roll (furniture wise) can help children with motor restlessness find calm. When your child's proprioception and vestibular sense get more of the stimuli they require to function at their best, your child has an easier time being calm. This means that, when your child gets the sensory input they need, their body can relax and function better.
Motor skills furniture bought at Toy Academy is durable and will withstand years of active play.
