Aqua Dragons Accessories - Eggs & Food

This set includes preserved Aqua Dragon eggs, food, and an English-language instruction booklet. You'll need to provide a suitable container for your Aqua Dragons, such as a clean jam jar or a similar clear container. The eggs can also be used as a refill for Aqua Dragons aquariums.

Aqua Dragons, or sea monkeys, are 1-2 cm long live aquatic creatures that you can hatch, grow, and care for yourself at home. The scientific name for aqua dragons is Artemia Salinas, and for millions of years they have lived in seas and salty lakes, even alongside dinosaurs!.

When you receive the eggs, they are dried and in a state of hibernation. The eggs wake up when you put them in clean fresh water, and then the Aqua Dragons are alive for about 3 months. After 2-3 days, the eggs hatch. Initially, the Aqua Dragons will be so tiny you can't see them, but within a week you will be able to see them. Among other necessities, the kit includes enough food for approximately 5 months.

From then on, you need to make sure to check on them every day, also on weekends and during holidays. It's only a couple of minutes of work, but it is important for the well-being of the little sea monkeys. We are talking about living creatures. They may be invertebrates and low on the food chain, but as living beings they still need to be cared for with respect. Therefore, an adult should always be around to supervise when children get Aqua Dragons - just as they should be when a child get a goldfish or a puppy.

When the first group of Aqua Dragons have died, you can often succeed in hatching any eggs you might have left over. Follow the guide that came with the kit.
