What makes this product special
Suitable for children aged 3 yrs. to 6 yrs.
A balance bike is a brilliant way to stimulate your child's cross-body coordination and balance from the time they're little. The thing about balance bikes is that they don't have pedals, so your child pushes the bike along with their legs while straddling the bike.
A balance bike is a great way to challenge your child without them crashing or falling over often - because your child has a foot on the ground at all times and can easily brake and keep their balance. Being able to zoom around and control their own speed (much more easily than on an ordinary bike) gives your child a sense of freedom. At the same time, you can also practise traffic signals, left/right, and being considerate of other road users.
A wonderful way to prepare for learning to ride a bike with pedals. Once your child is confident on the balance bike, putting training wheels on their pedal bike often becomes an unnecessary middle step - because your child already has great balance.
Supports essential skills that are great for your child's well-being and ability to learn:
- Supports your child's gross motor skills, which come into play whenever your child is physically active.
- This is a great way for your child to strengthen their vestibular sense. The vestibular sense helps us to stand on one leg, spin in circles, or ride in a car without losing our balance, feeling dizzy, or getting car sick.
- Supports kids' proprioception, which is also known as the kinesthetic sense or the body awareness sense.
