Let your child help the squirrel collect acorns and practise matching the number of dots to the number on the acorn. Here’s a little tip: matching light and dark shades of the same colour can be a big help. A fun way for little learners to practise counting from 1 to 10.
About Tender Leaf Toys:
Made from rubberwood left over from latex production in Indonesian forests.
The toys are produced at a family-owned factory in Indonesia, where the Tender Leaf Toys team spends two months each year developing toys and working alongside local villagers.
For every tree felled, a new one is planted. Tender Leaf Toys has been recognised by the ICTI Ethical Toy Program for their efforts to make the entire production process more socially and environmentally sustainable.
The toys are hand-painted and manually packed in recycled cardboard, and Tender Leaf Toys has almost managed to completely eliminate the use of single-use plastic.
This activity benefits essential skills which are wonderful for your child's well-being and ability to learn:
- Great for benefiting your child's visual perception.
- Strengthens hand-eye coordination, which is used for example when we use a pair of scissors to cut a precise line, when we want to pour a glass of water without spilling, or when we catch or kick the ball that comes flying at us in the playground.
- Stimulates your child's number recognition and counting skills and basic understanding of math.
Measures 20,8 x 25 x 1,8 cm.
Suitable for ages 18 mos. to 4 yrs.
Doing puzzles is a fun way to get better at understanding how single pieces form a whole and figuring out where each piece needs to be placed in the big picture.
The ability to perceive something visually (with our eyes) and envision what's missing from a whole is an important skill when it comes to learning geometry and math as well as comprehending how sums, sentences, or knitwork, among other things, consist of sequences and patterns.
If the puzzle has a special topic, such as anatomy, jungle animals, or flags of the world, you can help strengthen your child's vocabulary by talking about it.
