Suitable for children aged 6 yrs. to 10 yrs.
Doing puzzles together develops your child's fine motor skills and patience. Also, placing the pieces is a good way to get better at understanding how the pieces fit together to form a whole and envisioning where each part needs to be placed in the big picture.
Being able to perceive something visually and envision what's missing from a whole is an important skill for learning math and geometry as well as understanding how sentences, sums, or a piece of knitting, among other things, are made up of patterns and sequences.
If the puzzle has a special topic, such as anatomy, jungle animals, or flags of the world, you can expand your child's vocabulary by talking about it while doing the puzzle.
