The Green Bean range from the Danish toy company Dantoy is made from recycled, Nordic Swan Ecolabelled plastic from the company's own toy production.
Because Green Bean toys are made from re-melted leftover plastic, their colours may vary.
The entire production process is carefully monitored and approved, so the finished toys are unique, sturdy, and made with attention to sustainability.
Dantoy’s plastic toys are not designed to be biodegradable, as that would reduce their durability - and that wouldn't be sustainable. When resources have been used to design and package a toy, its more sustainable to ensure the toy has a long lifespan. Biodegradability makes more sense for things like food packaging, which has a shorter production process than toys and does not involve as much packaging.
That means this toy is not made to be thrown away after use. It's made to be played with for many years, passed on to other kids when your child outgrows it, and eventually recycled as hard plastic so resources aren't wasted.

Food-safe, meaning children can eat from them.
Certified with the Nordic Swan Ecolabel and CE-EN71, meaning they have been tested for the presence of 17 different types of metals.
Certified under ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards, which ensure consistent quality and show the manufacturer’s commitment to preventing pollution and caring for the environment.
Can be washed at 70°C and sanitised with rubbing alcohol.
Durable enough to be washed at 70°C in both commercial and domestic dishwashers. However, please note that paper stickers or labels will disintegrate in the dishwasher.
Made primarily from polyethylene (PE) and polypropylene (PP). These materials can be recycled again and again, so please dispose of the toy as hard plastic at your local recycling depot.
