Hand puppets are generally really great for many purposes.
1. Hand puppets give your child the opportunity to express themselves artistically in the role play that takes place between the puppet and your child.
2. From a science point of view, you can chat with your child about where each animal lives, which animals are similar to it, its friends and enemies, what it eats, and where it likes to stay and sleep.
3. Many things are much easier to express through pretend play than in real life. When you're playing with hand puppets, worries, challenges, and problems will often bubble up to the surface in a natural and playful way, which makes them much easier to talk about together. Also, it's sometimes easier for your child to understand and learn social skills when they see social situations acted out with hand puppets.
