Light Blocking Blindfolds, Set of 6 pcs

Item No: 1039-M570235
Emotional safety

Blindfolds can be used for many different types of activities. They're excellent for "active activities" where your child, or a group of children, explore their senses and focus on hearing, tasting, and touching. They're also great for quiet activities that focus on calm, concentration, and mindfulness.

Blindfolds are also ideal for teamwork exercises with groups of children. Try dividing a group of children into pairs. Have one child put on the blindfold, and have the other child lead them around the room. The guide can physically lead their blindfolded friend or use their words to explain where to go and what obstacles to avoid on the way. This exercise requires good communication and trust between the children. It's also great for training concentration, listening skills, and not least language comprehension, as the guiding child needs to give clear instructions.

Blindfolds can also be used to make a larger group of children "blind" at the same time and challenge them to solve a task together. For example, you could ask them to line up tallest to shortest (or vice versa) without being able to see.

You can also use blindfolds as a tool for practising mindfulness with children. Set aside a quiet moment in the afternoon to explore your senses through play. Blindfold your child and let them feel objects with different textures, like a cold, hard stone in their palm and a soft little feather that tickles their fingertips.

Afterwards, talk to your child about which object felt most pleasant to the touch. This exercise helps train your child’s ability to be in the present moment and truly use all their senses. It's a simple little exercise in everyday mindfulness.
If your child finds it hard to wind down after a day full of sensory input, a blindfold might be a gentle helping hand. If your child is comfortable wearing the blindfold, try using it while singing a lullaby, reading a story, or listening to an audiobook. Try it out together - the most important thing is that your child feels comfortable.

These blindfolds are made from durable fabric and have integrated corners along the edges, making them 100% lightproof.

Materials: 65% Nylon, 25% Polyurethane, 10% Polyester.

Size: Children.

Hand wash (cold or warm water), then air dry.
