Magnetic Maze - Michelle Carlslund

Use the magnetic pen to catch a ball and guide it through the maze. Is it heading for the house at the bottom, or all the way up into the mountains? Maybe the wheel in the middle of the maze needs to be turned before the ball can get to where it's going.

Guiding the ball to a specific spot instead of just moving it around randomly helps develop your child’s problem-solving skills and their ability to see the bigger picture.

This is a great way to explore positional words as the ball moves up, down, around the town—over, under, towards, and past different places. These are concepts that can feel quite abstract for children, but suddenly make sense through play.

If you miss having your keys, the whisk, your hair clips, the fridge magnets, and the remote controls to yourself, then get your child a fidget set to turn, twist, and fiddle with, just like this one. The play makes your child feel good at tinkering, which can boost their confidence. And that can encourage your child to learn new skills.
