One base for the Gonge Mini Parkour range. Pair it with obstacles and crossbars (sold separately) to build your course.

Want to let your child—or a whole group of kids—move, climb, and play using their whole body from head to toe?

A swing, a mat, a seesaw, a hammock, wall bars, a trapeze… creating the perfect play space can quickly become a complicated project, often involving lots of equipment to set up (and pack away again when playtime is over).

That’s where Danish brand Gonge comes to the rescue with this Mini Parkour set for children aged 3–7. Parkour is a super popular, energetic way to play, where the goal is to keep the momentum going by grabbing, climbing, balancing, and twisting your way through the surroundings. It’s a sport—well, more of a subculture—that kids are bound to come across as they get older.

With the Mini Parkour obstacles, children can crawl, jump, climb, swing, and hang in all sorts of possible (and impossible) ways while pretending to be monkeys, jumping spiders, fleas, or any other wild and wonderful creatures they can dream up.

Improvisation is at the heart of parkour—and using their body to figure things out on the go helps develop your child’s problem-solving skills. Like… how do they get their leg over that bar while still holding on tight? Time to get creative!

The Mini Parkour obstacles let kids meet, play, and move together, all while building gross motor skills, sensory integration, balance, and strength.

  • Suitable for indoor and outdoor use
  • Easy to assemble and take apart when playtime is over

Suitable for children aged 3 yrs. to 7 yrs.

Your child can simply play with this toy without first having to figure out how it works. There is no right or wrong way to play, and your child doesn't have to follow any rules. The goal is simply playing and being in the present moment. At ToyAcademy, we call this type of play intuitive play. It's also called "open ended play". Let your child play by using their intuition and seize the opportunity to notice how it unfolds.

As opposed to types of play which are about achieving a particular result, intuitive play will often let you have an interesting look into your child’s own thought process, problem-solving skills, and imagination.

Motor skills furniture is almost the exact opposite of sitting still and staying calm. Rocking and rolling can actually help children with motor restlessness stay calm. When your child's vestibular sense and proprioception get more of the input they need to work at their best, your child has an easier time being calm. In other words, when your child gets enough sensory stimulation, their body is able to relax and function better.

Motor skills furniture bought at ToyAcademy is robust and can withstand years of fun, active play.
