What makes this product special
When your child plays with a ball using their feet, hands, head, or a bat/racket, their depth perception is stimulated. Some ball games have rules, and it's beneficial for your child to learn how to follow and negotiate them. So, when your child firmly insists that there's certainly NO penalty, or that the ball was not out of bounds, that's a learning moment. Playing ball games also boosts your child's proprioception - and that's a sense that cannot get overstimulated.
This activity develops essential skills which help support your child's well-being and ability to learn new things:
- Strengthens hand-eye coordination, a skill we use for example when cutting a straight line with scissors, pouring a glass of water without spilling and making a mess, or when catching, throwing, or kicking the ball that comes flying at us in PE class.
- This is a great way for your child to strengthen their proprioception, which improves their concentration and gives them the confidence to use their body in other types of active play.
- Builds observation skills.
