Suitable for children aged 18 mos. to 4 yrs.Building and construction play is educational, fun, and also time consuming. We'll leave out a long-winded dissertation on how this type of play stimulates your child's creativity, hand-eye coordination, and fine motor skills as well as their understanding of geometry and interest in entrepreneurship.
With this type of play, your child also gets hands-on experience with solving problems when they need to figure out how to build the construction so it doesn't fall over. Your child's construction play with all sorts of blocks, pieces, and sticks stimulates their imagination. Also, it's so cool and satisfying to construct a tall, tall tower or build the world's longest marble run, or to maybe make a really cool domino row and film it as it topples.
The activity is wonderful for your child's well-being and ability to learn new things:

- Supports hand-eye coordination, a skill we use for instance when we throw, kick, or catch a ball that comes flying towards us in PE class, when we cut accurately line with scissors, or when we want to pour water into a glass without spilling.
