Roller
The Gonge roller offers an engaging motor skills challenge that grows with your child’s confidence and abilities. Younger children can begin by simply practising their balance while holding onto a friend, a wall, or a support bar. As their coordination improves, older children can push themselves further and explore just how much they can balance, move, and control without falling off.
The Roller is safe to use because the rubber-edged sides naturally slow the movement down through gentle friction and compression. At the same time, the roller is almost silent in use and helps protect floors and other surfaces from damage. The rubber tread also provides a secure grip and adds extra tactile stimulation when children use the roller barefoot.
Whether it’s used for play or therapy, the Roller helps stimulate your child’s proprioception, vestibular sense, and tactile sense.
The green Roller is designed for beginners. It is sand-filled to help slow the rolling speed.
It weighs 5.75 kg and measures 29.5 cm in diameter and 35.5 cm in length. Recommended from around age 4.
The orange Roller is designed for more experienced users. It is not sand-filled, allowing for a faster rolling speed.
It weighs 3.25 kg and measures 29.5 cm in diameter and 35.5 cm in length. Recommended from around age 7.
Both Rollers can support up to 100 kg.
Materials:
PP plastic and TPE rubber, fully tested and approved (of course).
Recommended age: green Roller from age 4, orange Roller from around age 7.

Play is essential for children’s learning, well-being, and development. Through play, children learn about themselves and the world around them.
Play helps children:
• stay curious
• focus and become absorbed in what they're doing
• take on age-appropriate challenges
• build confidence
We believe children learn best by doing things for themselves:
• by making mistakes
• by getting messy
• by falling down and getting back up again
Resilience, confidence, and courage grow through experience, one small step at a time.
That's why we carefully choose toys that encourage independence, imagination, movement, and social skills — offering just the right balance of support, freedom, and opportunities to grow.
Carefully selected toys
We carefully handpick every toy from the vast world of toys available today. The only toys that make it into our range are ones we'd be happy to give our own children.
Every toy at ToyAcademy should:
• support learning through play
• be made from durable, high-quality materials
• be safe and enjoyable for children to play with

Suitable for children aged 4 yrs. to 11 yrs. This toy doesn't have any rules or right or wrong ways to play, and your child can simply play without thinking about how to use it. The goal is simply to play and be in the present moment. We call this type of play intuitive play - its also called "open ended play". We recommend that you seize the opportunity to notice how things unfold when your child plays in ways that let them use their intuition.
Unlike types of play which focus on achieving a result or playing within specific boundaries, intuitive play will often let you have a fascinating look into your child’s independent imagination, problem-solving skills, and thought process.
With motor skills furniture, your child isn’t supposed to sit still and stay calm. Rocking and rolling can actually help children with motor restlessness find calm. Your child's vestibular sense and proprioception require input to function well. And when your child gets the sensory input they need, it's easier for your child to be calm.
Motor skills furniture from ToyAcademy is extra durable and will withstand years of use.
