Do you know Time Timer?
Being able to feel and make sense of time reduces stress and increases safety. With the Time Timer, time is visualised, and it's actually not necessary to tell time in order to keep track of how time is counting down.Time is abstract, so in our opinion, the Time Timer is just a stroke of genius. The red (or blue) disc clearly indicates how much time is left. The Time Timer has no distracting audible ticks, and it's easy to follow the countdown.
We have several Time Timer models to choose from. You can get Time Timers with different minute counts, in various sizes, and even as wristwatches. The Time Timer is also great for children and adults with special needs. The bigger models are suitable for bigger settings or for visually impaired users. They have high colour resolution and ultra quiet timers without ticking.
The main idea behind the 60-minute Time Timer
The clock counts down, but the numbers also go down and clockwise rather than up.
It's really logical. For instance, if you need to adjust the Time Timer to 25 minutes, so your child understands 25 minutes are left of the evening before lunchboxes need to be packed and toes need to be scrubbed before bedtime, this is how it's done on the standard Time Timer:
Set the red disc so it covers 25 minutes. Now the dial is white from "12 o’clock" to where it normally says "35 minutes" on a regular clock – because from "35" to "12 o’clock" is 25 minutes.
The clever thing about the Time Timer is that the clock dial is reversed. On the Time Timer, the dial logically shows "25" (not 35) when you set the timer to 25 minutes. And the red disc counts down from "25" and not up from "35".
This means you need to set your standard (60 min) Time Timer to "25" when you want to count down from 25 minutes. After 5 minutes, the red disc will show "20" minutes, so it's clear that there are only 20 minutes left until toothbrushing time.
