Do you know Time Timer?

Your child greatly benefits from being able to tell time and manage their own schedule; for instance, when the bus leaves, when guests will arrive, or how long until dinner. The Time Timer has a disc that shows time counting down.

For example, if your child has 15 minutes to get some breakfast in them, then just set your Time Timer to 15 minutes. The timer then counts down silently, while the red/blue disc gets smaller and smaller.

You can choose between several Time Timer models. You can get Time Timers as wristwatches, with different minute counts, and in various sizes. The Time Timer is also great for people with special needs. The bigger models are suitable for bigger settings or for visually impaired users. They have high colour resolution and silent timers without ticking.

The idea behind the 60 mins Time Timer
The clock counts down, but it goes clockwise and the numbers also go downwards instead of up.

It's really logical. For instance, when you want to set the Time Timer to 25 minutes, so your child understands there are 25 minutes left of the evening before teeth need to be brushed and lunchboxes need to be packed, this is how it's done on the standard Time Timer:

Adjust the red disc so it covers 25 minutes. Now the dial is white from "12 o’clock" to where it normally says "35 minutes" on a regular clock – because from "35" to "12 o’clock" is 25 minutes.

The smart thing about the Time Timer is that the numbers are reversed. On the Time Timer, the dial logically shows "25" (not 35) when you set the timer to 25 minutes. And the clock counts down from "25" rather than counting up from "35".

This means you need to set the classic 60-minute Time Timer to "25" when you want to count down from 25 minutes. After 5 minutes, the red disc will be at "20" minutes, so it's obvious that there are only 20 minutes left until toothbrushing time.
