Do you know Time Timer?

Being able to perceive and understand time reduces stress and increases safety. The Time Timer makes time visual, and it's actually not necessary to tell time in order to know how the minutes are counting down.

For instance, if your child has 15 minutes to wolf down some breakfast, you just set your Time Timer to 15 minutes. The clock then counts down silently, while the red/blue disc gradually shrinks.

You can choose between several Time Timer models. Time Timers are made as wristwatches, in large and small versions, and with different minute counts. The Time Timer is also great for children and adults with special needs. The bigger models are suitable for bigger settings or for visually impaired users. They have high colour resolution and silent timers with no audible ticking.

The idea behind the classic 60-minute Time Timer
The clock counts down, but the numbers also go downwards and clockwise instead of up.

It's quite logical. For example, if you need to adjust the Time Timer to 25 minutes, so your child knows 25 minutes are left of the evening before teeth need to be brushed and lunchboxes need to be packed, this is how you do it on the standard Time Timer:

Adjust the red disc so it covers 25 minutes. Now the dial is white from "12 o’clock" to where it normally would say "35 minutes" on a clock dial – because there are 25 minutes from "35" to "12 o’clock".

The ingenious thing about the Time Timer is that the clock dial is reversed. On the Time Timer, the dial logically shows "25" (not 35) when you set the timer to 25 minutes. And the red disc counts down from "25" instead of counting up from "35".

This means you need to set your classic 60-minute Time Timer to "25" when you want to time 25 minutes. When 5 minutes have gone by, the red disc will be at "20" minutes, so it's clear that there are only 20 minutes left until it's time to get ready for bed.
