What makes this product special

Adorable two-piece sheep, easy to take apart and put back together. Each sheep has removable wool, and the number of dots shown on the sheep's body matches the number of dots on the fleece.

Teaches your child to count, match, and recognise numbers. Use the sheep to create mini math problems like: what is 1 + 2? The answer is the yellow sheep, of course. You can line up the sheep by number, which just so happens to form the prettiest rainbow row.

Of course, you can also use them for free open-ended play with other toy figures.

Comes in a handy storage jar. 9 two-piece sheep.

Here, important skills are developed, which are wonderful for your child's well-being and ability to learn new things:

  • Here, your child's fine motor skills really get a workout.
  • Stimulates your child's understanding of shapes/colours.
  • Stimulates hand-eye coordination, which you use for example when catching, throwing, or kicking a ball that comes flying at you in the playground, or when cutting a precise line with scissors.

Measures Længde: 9 cm.
Suitable for children aged 18 mos. to 4 yrs.

This toy doesn't have any rules or right or wrong ways to play, and your child can simply play without having to think about how to use it. Playing in the present moment is the goal here. At Toy Academy, we call this type of play intuitive play - its also called "open-ended play". We recommend that you seize the opportunity to observe how things unfold when your child plays in ways that let them follow their intuition.

Unlike types of play which are aimed at achieving a particular result, intuitive play will often give you a fascinating look into your child’s own imagination, thought process, and problem-solving skills.

Practising how to categorise objects develops your child’s ability to sort through the countless impressions they experience daily. Sorting and categorizing are quite simply a way of learning and comprehending new words, experiences, and concepts. Before we can understand what something is and what it means, we first need to comprehend how it differs from something else.

Once your child learns to look at sorting and organising as a method for getting an overview of tasks and activities, that skill will help them stay calm and organised in many different real-life situations – going to the recycling depot, sorting laundry, understanding equations, and much more.

Do you know Learning Resources?

As you can tell from their name, it's essential for Learning Resources to create materials that make learning fun for children.

In particular, STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) is a focal point at Learning Resources. Among other things, your child can learn about coding, doing experiments, exploring their world, and building robots. For educators and teachers, Learning Resources is a learning goldmine. Sorting animals, math games, and coding dinosaurs can really add some fun to the teaching.
