As a general rule, weighted products should not exceed 10% of your child’s body weight unless otherwise advised based on a professional assessment of your child’s needs. That means this therapy dog is best suited for older children, from around 5–6 years and up, or when your child weighs over 22 kg. For younger children, a lighter weighted soft toy may be a better fit.
