Suitable for children aged 2.5 yrs. to 5 yrs.A balance bike is a fantastic way to build up your child's balance and cross-body coordination from the time they're little. What's special about balance bikes is that they don't have pedals, so your child pushes the bike forward with their legs while straddling the bike.
Being able to zoom around and control their own speed (much more easily than on an ordinary bike) gives your child a feeling of being free. At the same time, you can also practise left/right, understanding traffic signals, and looking out for other road users. A balance bike is a great way to challenge your child without them having a lot of accidents - because your child always has a foot on the ground and is able to regain balance or stop the bike.
An ideal way to prepare for learning to ride a pedal bike. Once your child is confident on the balance bike, using training wheels while they learn to ride their pedal bike often becomes an unnecessary middle step - because balance is not a problem for your child.
