Before you know it, the living room can start to look like a used car lot, full of your little rider’s well-loved vehicles.
If you’d like to keep the fleet a little more manageable, My First is a smart investment.
The design is clean and stylish, and the vehicle can be used as a ride-on, a push walker, or a scooter board for tummy time or seated play, with your child pushing themselves along using hands and feet.
Switching between the three modes is easy. When your child sits astride My First, it works as a scooter. When they stand in front and push with the handle, it becomes a baby walker that supports your little one's first steps forward.
Want to use My First as a scooter board? It easily splits into two parts, with wheels on the bottom section.
The My First 3-in-1 ride-on is made from EPP, which is polypropylene (PP) plastic filled with air. EPP stands for expanded polypropylene.
The material can be recycled and used to make other plastic products.
The activity is great for your child's well-being and ability to learn new things:
- Strengthens gross motor skills, which are boosted as soon as your child is physically active.
- Benefits the vestibular sense, which improves eyesight, balance, and body awareness.
- Supports children's proprioception, which is also known as the kinesthetic sense or the body awareness sense.
Measures 29 * 50 * 28 cm.
Suitable for children aged 6 mos. to 5 yrs.
Seeing the big smile spread across your little one’s face when they at last manage to wobble along unsteadily on their tiny legs behind a push walker is a precious moment of joy.
With a push walker, your child can take their first unsteady steps while having something to balance against. Newer, modern types often have a braking system so your child won't accidentally go too fast and fall flat on their face. See our full selection of beautiful push walkers here.
“Sit still and stop rocking the chair” doesn’t apply with motor skills furniture (thankfully). In fact, being able to rock and roll (furniture wise) can help children with motor restlessness find calm. When your child's proprioception and vestibular sense get more of the input they need to function well, your child has an easier time settling down. This means that, when your child gets the sensory stimuli they need, their body is able to relax and function better.
Motor skills furniture bought at Toy Academy is tough and will withstand years of use.
