Construction play is very educational, very fun, and a bit time consuming. We'll leave out a long and tedious essay about how this type of play benefits your child's creativity, hand-eye coordination, and fine motor skills as well as their interest in entrepreneurship and understanding of geometry.
With construction play, your child also gets real-life experience with problem-solving when they need to figure out how to set up the construction so it doesn't suddenly fall over. Your child's construction play with all sorts of building blocks, pieces, or magnets makes it fun for them to concentrate. And it's just so cool and satisfying to construct a tall, tall tower or build the longest marble run ever, or to make an impressive domino field and film it when it topples.
