People all over the world tell stories. And across different cultures, we actually tell stories with the same themes. Being able to understand and tell a story with a beginning and an end is a very important skill to have. This skill can be strengthened by telling a story again and again and preferably talking about it along the way, asking questions, and adding your own touch to the story.
When children are learning to understand stories, physical props can be very useful. This great play set lets your child experiment with storytelling. What's more, it's a very nice way to make a story or fairy tale come alive. The storyteller is not hidden behind a book but gets to be active and in contact with the little listeners, who get to join in the story instead of being passive.
