Animal figures are a bit of a classic children’s toy. You'll probably see your child use them for all kinds of imaginative role play. Maybe the animals live on a farm or at the zoo – or maybe they go to the city. The play with imagining what the animals experience supports the ability to come up with funny stories and put words to them.
Maybe the animals also want to be counted, sorted, stacked, or arranged according to their initials or the number of syllables or letters in their names. The animals also come in handy if your child is learning math and needs to figure out how many animals you'll each get if you are three people and share them equally between you.
