Do you know Time Timer?
Being able to understand and sense time makes us feel safe and reduces stress. With the Time Timer, time becomes visual, and it's not necessary to read a clock in order to know how the minutes are counting down.Time is quite abstract, so we think the Time Timer is just one of the most ingenious things we have seen in a long time. It's clear to see from on the red disc (or blue on some models) how many minutes remain. Time goes by without distracting audible ticks, and the disc is easy to follow.
We have several Time Timer models to choose from. Time Timers are made with different minute counts, in various sizes, and even as wristwatches. The Time Timer is also great for adults and children with special needs. The bigger models are suitable for bigger settings or for visually impaired users. They have high colour resolution and ultra quiet timers with no audible ticking.
This is how the 60 mins Time Timer works:
The clock counts down, but it goes clockwise and the numbers also go down instead of up.
It's quite logical. For instance, when you need to set the Time Timer to 25 minutes, so your child understands 25 minutes are left of the evening before lunchboxes need to be packed and toes need to be scrubbed before bedtime, this is how it's done on the standard Time Timer:
Adjust the red disc so it covers 25 minutes. Now the dial is white from "12 o’clock" to where it normally says "35 minutes" on a regular clock – because there are 25 minutes from "35" to "12 o’clock".
The ingenious thing about the Time Timer is that the clock dial is reversed. On the Time Timer, it doesn't say "35" when you set the timer to 25 minutes. It logically shows "25". And the red disc counts down from "25" rather than counting up from "35".
This means you need to adjust the Time Timer to "25" when you want to time 25 minutes. When 5 minutes have gone by, the red disc will show "20" minutes, so it's clear to see that there are only 20 minutes left before bedtime.
