Botley 2.0 the Coding Robot Activity Set

Item No: 21-LER2938
Logical thinking
Cause and effect

Meet the next generation of coding fun! Botley® 2.0 is the exciting upgrade to the wildly popular Botley® robot, and we’re officially obsessed with the new 2.0 version.

Botley® 2.0 makes coding logic easy and approachable for kids. Your child can create sequences of commands for movement, lights, sounds, and actions, then sit back and watch the robot follow the instructions step by step.
Back in the day, coding meant typing long, complicated computer commands that looked like complete gibberish to everyone else. Now? Coding has become wonderfully hands-on and kid-friendly. With Botley® 2.0, creating code is as simple as pressing buttons to build a sequence and sending the robot off on its next mission.

The included coding cards make it easy for kids to plan and visualise their coding sequences before pressing start.

And Botley® 2.0 has plenty of personality built in. It can make fun sounds like a police car or a train, perform clever obstacle-avoiding manoeuvres, follow a black line, and light up in different colours. It even lights up automatically in the dark.

Botley® 2.0 makes coding feel more like playtime than learning, and that’s exactly why kids love it.
Getting started is easy. All you need are 3 AAA batteries for Botley® 2.0, 2 AAA batteries for the remote programmer, and a screwdriver —then your little coder is ready for action. Includes:

  • Botley® 2.0 robot
  • Remote programmer
  • Robot arms
  • 40 coding cards
  • 6 double-sided boards
  • 27 obstacle building pieces
  • A guide with fun coding challenges

Science is not necessarily something dull and difficult that adults work with in distant offices or laboratories. STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) toys are a perfect example of that. Also, playing with STEM-based toys and tools develops your child's interest in and understanding of science.

Do you know Learning Resources?

As you can tell from their name, it's essential for Learning Resources to create materials that make learning fun for children.

In particular, STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) is a focal point at Learning Resources. For example, your child can learn to explore and experiment, build robots, and learn to code. For teachers and educators, Learning Resources is a learning goldmine. Sorting animals, coding dinosaurs, and math games can really spice up the teaching.
