What makes this product special

Suitable for children aged 1 yr. to 5 yrs.

A balance bike does not have pedals, so your child pushes the bike forward with their feet while straddling the bike. Balance bikes are brilliant for strengthening your child's balance and crossbody coordination from an early age.

Being able to race around and control their own speed (far more easily than on a standard bike) gives your child a feeling of being free. At the same time, you can also practise left/right, understanding traffic signals, and looking out for other road users. A balance bike is a great way to challenge your child without having to worry about them having too many accidents - because at all times, your child has a foot on the ground and is able to regain balance or stop the bike.

A wonderful way to prepare for learning to ride a pedal bike. Once your child has mastered the balance bike, putting training wheels on their regular bike while they learn how to pedal often becomes a redundant middle step - because your child has already had lots of balance training.

The activity is great for your child's well-being and ability to learn:

  • This type of play helps your child train their depth perception skills. For instance, this will help your child cycle or walk in traffic more safely. "How fast is the car coming towards me?" suddenly becomes easier to assess.
  • Helps your child get their body moving, which in turn engages their gross motor skills.
  • Strengthens your child's vestibular sense, which develops learning ability, concentration, and balance.
