If you want to give your curious little one a microscope, remember that price and quality generally go together. So consider what you would like to look at with the microscope.
For instance, if you would like to examine a drop of blood under the microscope, our suggestion is that you get a microscope for children that has more than 400x magnification. It’s a higher price bracket than simpler microscopes, but your child will learn and understand so much more when they get to focus the microscope and learn on their own. But it’s also fun and interesting to look at a fly or a dead spider up close, and you can easily do that with a simpler microscope.
