Hand Puppet 28 cm - Kangaroo

Put on a puppet show about a strong kangaroo who wants to learn to hop backwards. It soon learns that kangaroos can’t do that — but also discovers all the other things it can do, and that it’s okay not to be brilliant at everything.

All over the world, people across different cultures tell stories about the same themes. It is a very important skill to be able to understand and tell a story with a beginning and an end. That skill can be practised by repeating the storytelling game over and over and adding your own touch to the story.

When children are learning to understand stories, physical props are a great help. Hand puppets let children practise storytelling. What's more, they're a really good way to bring a fairy tale or story to life. The storyteller is not hidden behind a book but gets to be active and in close contact with the little listeners, who can actively participate in the story instead of just listening passively.

Hand puppets are great to use at home and in nurseries and preschools – or for people with dementia or special needs.
