Writing, drawing, and painting strengthen your child's pencil grasp and fine motor skills, which are both essential skills for learning to write legible letters and numbers.
Drawing and having fun simply helps your child learn how to control the pencil, which is a big advantage for schoolwork. And it's just so lovely to get a little handwritten note from your child that says "lof u" - and just as surprising and amusing to see the first piece of paper stuck to the door of your child’s room that says "no grone ups aloud". Down the line, a proper grasp and a well-developed handwriting are useful for making handwritten cards for Christmas and birthdays.
