What makes this product special
Suitable for ages 5 yrs. to Seniors
It supports your child's depth perception to play ball using their hands, feet, head, or a racket/bat. Some ball games have rules, and it's good for your child to learn how to follow and negotiate them. So, when your child firmly claims that there's absolutely NO penalty, or that the ball was NOT out of bounds, you can definitely celebrate - that's a learning moment. Ball games also gives your child's proprioception great workout - and that's a sense which cannot be overstimulated.
This activity benefits important skills which support your child's well-being and ability to learn new things:
- This type of play strengthens gross motor skills. It specifically involves your child's ability to coordinate their arms and legs.
- Develops hand-eye coordination, a skill we use for example when cutting with scissors, pouring water into a glass without spilling, or when catching or kicking a ball that comes flying at us in the playground.
- Supports children's proprioception, which is also called the body awareness sense or the kinesthetic sense.
