One of the many reasons why we love magic tricks is that they are a delightful combination of fine motor skills training, creativity, imagination, and performance. For children who are shy, magic tricks can encourage them to take the floor in front of others in their super cool magician outfit. Standing up in front of everyone and performing magic tricks at morning assembly or grandma’s birthday takes courage. But performing in front of others can really boost your child’s self-esteem, because when it takes place in a safe environment, your child experiences the joy and success of their practice paying off and of making people happy.
Some say it takes 10,000 hours of practice to become an expert. But less can do the trick. However, concentration and practice at home are important in order to master magic tricks and illusions. Children from around 5 can practise simple magic tricks, while older children can find more intricate challenges in our magic category .
