What makes this product special

Watch the tiny sea creatures swim around in their very own LED-lit aquarium.

The set includes everything you need: Aquarium, dormant aqua dragon eggs, food, and pipettes.

Measures 16 x 16 x 4,5 cm.
Suitable for children aged 6 yrs. to 10 yrs.

Aqua Dragons, also known as sea monkeys, are 1-2 cm long live aquatic creatures that you can hatch and raise yourself at home. The scientific name for sea monkeys/aqua dragons is Artemia Salinas, and they have lived in seas and salty lakes for millions of years, all the way back to when dinosaurs roamed the earth!.

The eggs you'll receive are dried and in a state of hibernation. The eggs wake up when you soak them in clean fresh water, and then the Aqua Dragons stay alive for approximately 3 months. After 2-3 days, the eggs hatch. Initially, the Aqua Dragons will be so tiny you can't see them, but within about a week you can see them. Among other necessities, the kit includes food for about 5 months.

Once the eggs hatch, you should ensure that someone is home every day to care for them. Daily care only takes a couple of minutes, but it is essential for the health of the little Aqua Dragons . At the end of the day, Aqua Dragons/sea monkeys are living creatures. Even though they are invertebrates and don't rank high on the food chain, as living beings they still need to be cared for with respect. That's why an adult should always be on board when a child get Aqua Dragons - just as they should be when children get a puppy or a hamster.

When the first group of Aqua Dragons have died, you can often actually succeed in hatching any eggs that might be left over. Follow the included instructions.

Our kits have everything you need to start raising and caring for Aqua Dragons, including dried eggs, a tank, a pipette, food, a spoon, and a guidebook in English. You'll find our guide to caring for Aqua Dragons here, at the bottom of our category page.
