A balance bike has no pedals, so your child pushes the bike forward with their legs while straddling the bike. Balance bikes are great for building up your child's cross-body coordination and balance from an early age.

A balance bike is a great way to challenge your child without having to worry about them having too many accidents - because at all times, your child has a foot on the ground and is able to keep their balance and stop the bike. Being able to control their speed much more easily than on a normal bike gives your child a sense of freedom. At the same time, you can also practise traffic signals, left/right, and being considerate of other road users.

A wonderful way to prepare for learning to ride a regular bike. Once your child is confident on the balance bike, using training wheels on their pedal bike often becomes a redundant middle step - because balance is not a problem for your child.
