A balance bike has no pedals, so your child pushes the bike forward with their legs while straddling the bike. Balance bikes are fantastic for developing your child's balance and crossbody coordination from the time they're young.

A balance bike is a great way to challenge your child without them having a lot of falls or crashes - because at all times, your child has a foot on the ground and can stop the bike and keep their balance. Being able to race around and control their own speed (far more easily than on a standard bike) gives your child a feeling of being free. At the same time, you can also practise left/right, understanding traffic signals, and looking out for other road users.

An ideal way to prepare for learning to ride a pedal bike. Most often, your child can skip using training wheels on their pedal bike, because balance is no problem for them.
