What makes this product special
Toys for learning through play
Play is essential for children’s learning, well-being, and development. Through play, children learn about themselves and the world around them.
Play helps children:
• stay curious
• focus and become absorbed in what they're doing
• take on age-appropriate challenges
• build confidence
We believe children learn best by doing things for themselves:
• by making mistakes
• by getting messy
• by falling down and getting back up again
Resilience, confidence, and courage grow through experience, one small step at a time.
That's why we carefully choose toys that encourage independence, imagination, movement, and social skills — offering just the right balance of support, freedom, and opportunities to grow.
Carefully selected toys
We carefully handpick every toy from the vast world of toys available today. The only toys that make it into our range are ones we'd be happy to give our own children.
Every toy at ToyAcademy should:
• support learning through play
• be made from durable, high-quality materials
• be safe and enjoyable for children to play with

What makes this product special
It supports your child's depth perception to play ball using their feet, hands, head, or a racket/bat. Ball games may also have rules, and it's beneficial for your child to practise negotiating them. So, when your child stubbornly claims that there's absolutely NO penalty kick, or that the ball was not out of bounds, that's a learning moment. And what's more, your child's proprioception is totally engaged with ball games, and that's a sense which quite simply can't be overstimulated.
Supports the development of important skills that are great for your child's well-being and ability to learn new things:
- This type of play helps your child sharpen their depth perception skills. For example, this will help your child walk or cycle in traffic more safely. "How fast is that car coming towards me?" suddenly becomes a little bit easier to estimate.
- Great for getting your child's body moving, which in turn boosts their gross motor skills.
- Stimulates hand-eye coordination, a skill we use for example when cutting with scissors, pouring a glass of water without spilling and making a mess, or when kicking or catching a ball that comes flying at us in the playground.
