Suitable for children aged 3 yrs. to 12 yrs.
Playing with a bouncy ball by bouncing it off the floor or hitting it against the wall and catching it as it bounces back improves depth perception. The bouncy ball is also great for engaging your child's proprioception - and proprioception is a sense which really cannot be overstimulated.
The activity supports skill development and is great for your child's well-being:
- This activity benefits your child's depth perception.
- This type of play stimulates gross motor skills. It specifically involves your child's ability to control the coordination of their arms and legs.
- Supports hand-eye coordination, a skill we use for example when cutting with scissors, pouring water into a glass without spilling, or when kicking or catching a ball that comes flying at us in the playground.
