Bucket Baby Swing with Rubber Seat - Red

Item No: 39-102.010.009.001
Proprioception
Gross motor skills
Body awareness

A wonderful, sturdy, all-weather swing with a wraparound seat and T-bar, giving your little one a safe and secure seat. The swing is suitable for use in professional childcare settings.

The manufacturer sets the minimum age at 3 years because children under 3 shouldn’t use the swing on their own. That said, you can safely let a younger child enjoy a ride in this swing as long as you’re keeping a close eye.

This swing is not designed for children who can’t yet sit securely on their own. Every child develops at their own pace, but many are ready to sit independently and balance on a swinging seat at around 18 months.

This swing is suitable for both home and professional use. It’s made from moulded TPE with reinforced aluminium inside, so once it’s hung from a swing frame, a tree, a beam, or the ceiling, it’s built to stay there for years to come.

A good swing ride is one of the very best ways to stimulate your child's vestibular sense, which is a very important primary sense. It helps us maintain our balance, and a well-developed vestibular sense helps prevent both motion sickness and dizziness.

Features:

  • The swing measures 450 x 251 x 339 mm
  • The chains measure 2.5 m and Ø 5 mm. The chains can be shortened, and the D-hook at the top allows for easy mounting to a suspension point.
  • Best hung on hooks placed max. 3 m above the ground
  • Seat made of weather-resistant TPE plastic and aluminium

Swinging strengthens your child's vestibular sense as well as their balance, concentration, and learning ability. It also improves their vision and their understanding of which way their body is facing.

Moreover, a well-developed vestibular sense is what helps us spin around or stand on one leg without getting dizzy or losing balance, or or travel by car without getting car sick. If you have 5-10 minutes to spare, you can read more about the vestibular sense here.
