Draw your design with permanent markers. Coloured pencils and Posca markers won't work on this type of shrink plastic.
Cut it out (or cut out your shape first, then decorate it afterwards).
If you want to turn it into a keyring, charm or hanging decoration, punch a hole in your design before baking. Â
Place your design on a sheet of baking paper and bake it in a preheated 170°C oven for a few seconds.Â
Don't panic when your design starts curling up in the oven—that's exactly what's supposed to happen! A few moments later, it flattens out again, shrinks to under 40% of its original size, and becomes hard and durable.Â
As the plastic shrinks, the colours become much richer and more vibrant. The finished result often looks beautiful, even if your child didn't colour with perfect precision. It's a lovely confidence boost that can inspire them to keep exploring their creative side.
