Painting, writing, and drawing strengthen your child's fine motor skills and grasp, which are both essential for learning to write legible letters and numbers.
Drawing and doodling simply helps your child gain better control of the pencil, which is a big advantage for schoolwork. And it's absolutely lovely to get a little handwritten note from your child that says "lov u" - and equally surprising and amusing to come across the first homemade sign stuck to the door of your child’s room that says "no parints aloud". Later on, it’s time for more complicated writing projects such as handwritten Christmas and birthday cards – all made possible by a proper grasp and a well-developed handwriting.
