Drawing and doodling simply helps your child gain control of the pencil, which is very helpful for schoolwork. And it's so lovely to get a little handwritten note from your child that says "lov u" - and equally surprising and amusing to notice the first note stuck to the door of your child’s room that says "no parints aloud". Later on, it’s time for more challenging writing projects such as handwritten Christmas and birthday cards – both made possible by a good grasp and a steady handwriting.
