Building and construction play is very educational, very fun, and a bit time consuming. We'll leave out a long piece about how this type of play stimulates your child's hand-eye coordination, creativity, and fine motor skills as well as interest in entrepreneurship and understanding of geometry.

With construction play, your child also gets hands-on experience with solving problems when it comes to figuring out how to set up the construction so it doesn't suddenly fall over. Your child's construction play with all sorts of building materials stimulates their imagination. Also, it's such a confidence boost to construct a tall, tall tower or build the world's longest marble run, or to create a super cool domino track and film it as it topples.

Do you know CONNETIX?

In 2019, a mom and a dad were standing on a playground in Australia and came up with the idea for Connetix. Their children loved playing and building with magnets, and the parents came up with the idea to create even more see-through magnetic building toys. At the same time, they designed a ball run that matched the magnetic tiles - and thus the original Connetix was born. Connetix are magnetic building tiles that are more transparent and have a cleaner design than, for example, Magna-Tiles. Connetix are even more beautiful to look through when your child builds in 2D against a window or on a light panel. They have two magnets per side and can be combined with Magna-Tiles and Cleverclixx - but not with Magformers.

If you want to construct ball runs, you can have more fun if you have a set of square magnetic tiles (either Connetix or Magna-Tiles) AND a kit with ball run parts. The ball run packs contain few or no regular building tiles, so they need a few extra parts to be stable and pretty.
