Suitable for ages 2 yrs. to 7 yrs.Play food is ideal for imaginative play, which inspires your child to act out real-life experiences such as shopping, cooking, or going to a café. Talk about where food comes from, when we typically eat it, and where it goes after we swallow it. This helps expand your child’s knowledge and vocabulary.
Role play where children act out everyday activities supports their understanding of the world they live in. With play food, your child can also play and be silly with food in a way that is probably not allowed with real food. You can also use the play food to play grocery store and practise writing little signs, coming up with prices and special offers, and practising polite phrases. Your child can practise taking payments and giving back change, which improves their math skills.
