The activity is great for your child's well-being and ability to learn new things:
- This type of play helps your child train their depth perception skills. Among other things, this will help your child cycle or walk in traffic in a safe way. "How fast are others coming towards me?" suddenly becomes a bit easier to estimate.
- Great for getting your child's body moving, which in turn boosts their gross motor skills.
- Strengthens hand-eye coordination, a skill we use e.g. when throwing, catching, or kicking the ball that comes flying towards us in PE class, or when cutting precisely with scissors.
