Feel and Match Game

Strengthen your child's senses through play.  This touch and match game is all about using your tactile sense to find the correct shapes. You could say it’s about learning to "see" with your fingers...

It sounds simple enough, but this activity really challenges your child's ability to make a connection between a picture (sight/vision) and an object (tactile sense). Your child needs to draw on their knowledge of what is shown in the picture to figure out what features to feel for when searching for the right shape.

This game is an excellent sensory activity that really stimulates and strengthens your child’s fine motor skills and cognitive abilities. Try playing the game yourself... and see how easy or how tricky you find it.

The game includes 20 sturdy, high-quality wooden shapes with matching cards, a fabric pouch, and a colourful cylindrical storage container with a rope handle.

Players take turns drawing a card and then try to feel their way to the matching shape.

Another idea for playing with very young kids: lay out the cards and the shapes on a table and let your child match them up. This is a great way to strengthen your child’s fine motor skills and shape recognition.
