We carry playdough of many different types and colours and different firmness levels. Firm playdough stimulates your child’s proprioception by providing a bit more resistance. For example, firm playdough is great for making stop motion movies, because the shape holds well.

It’s a calm activity that can help your child stay still for just six more minutes - or help them cope with long car or train rides without fidgeting and moving around in their seat. In particular, for children who struggle with motor restlessness, playing with something that stimulates proprioception, hands, fine motor skills, and imagination while sitting still can bring a sense of calm.

Playdough can be water-based or oil-based, and each has its own advantages. You can soften water-based playdough by adding a bit of water to it. But oil-based playdough tends to remain soft for several years.
