16 large, lightweight foam blocks that are easy for even the youngest children to lift, carry, and rearrange.
The blocks are ideal for use in schools and childcare settings, or for obstacle courses and building projects at home in the living room.
Packed up, the box measures 52 x 51 x 23 cm. Then comes the fun part – can you “Tetris” the blocks neatly back into the box once playtime is over?
All of a sudden it’s suspiciously quiet. You investigate and discover that your little one has built a giant fort. Admission requires cookies or raisins. No exceptions.
These blocks are also ideal for children with special educational needs, offering extra opportunities for sensory input and development.
The blocks are approximately 10 cm wide and range from 10 to 38 cm in length.
The blocks are soft, so your child won’t hurt themselves if they fall onto them or throw them around.
Create a giant obstacle course, use the blocks as balance beams, or build your own little city. Your imagination is the only limit.
The blocks can be wiped clean with a damp cloth.
Here, important skills are stimulated, which are wonderful for your child's well-being and ability to learn:
- This type of play stimulates gross motor skills. It specifically involves their ability to control the coordination of their legs and arms.
- Benefits the vestibular sense, which improves eyesight, balance, and body awareness.
- This is a way for your child to improve their proprioception, which benefits your child's concentration and gives them the confidence to use their body in other types of physical play.
Suitable for ages 0 mos. to 5 yrs.
Motor skills furniture is the complete opposite of sitting still and staying calm. In fact, being able to rock and roll (furniture wise) can help children with motor restlessness stay calm. Your child's vestibular sense and proprioception need input to function well. And when your child's need for sensory input is met, it's easier for your child to be calm.
Motor skills furniture bought at Toy Academy is durable and will withstand years of use.
